HUSH: How to Heal and Stop Bleeding

Last updated:

Surviving an injury in HUSH means treating both ongoing bleeding and lost health. Carry Bandages and Pills, and check residential rooms when you need replacements.

AT A GLANCE

Use a Bandage to stop Bleeding, then right-click Pills in your inventory and select Use to restore health. Look for supplies in residential Medicine Cabinets and bedroom Desks. Cola speeds up stamina regeneration for about three minutes.

Stop Bleeding Before Restoring Health

The Bleeding status causes continuing health loss. Treat it first so you are not losing health while trying to recover.

  1. Open your inventory and use a Bandage through its Use action.
  2. Check that the Bleeding indicator disappears.
  3. If you still need health, right-click Pills and select Use.
  4. Allow the medicine to take effect and check your health again.

The inventory also lists double-click as the equip/use action. Keep both supplies available: stopping bleeding and restoring lost health serve different needs.

Pills selected in the HUSH inventory with the right-click Use option visible.

Find Bandages and Pills

Search Medicine Cabinets near residential bathrooms for Bandages and Pills. Desks in bedrooms are another place to look for Pills. These are search locations, not guaranteed drops; contents and quantities can vary.

  1. Make room in your inventory before collecting supplies.
  2. Approach the furniture and select its Search interaction.
  3. Press F when Search is selected, then wait for the search to finish.
  4. Find the supplies in the NEARBY loot grid and drag them into your inventory or use Ctrl-click to transfer them.

If No space appears, arrange enough connected empty cells in the destination grid. See inventory organization for help fitting items, or the looting guide for other supply sources.

Medical Supplies and Drinks

Prioritize Bandages and Pills when packing for injury recovery. Cola serves a different purpose: it speeds up stamina regeneration for about three minutes, making it useful when you expect to keep moving. Water can also appear in residential Cabinets.

For a full setup that combines medical supplies with weapons, protection, and storage, see the quiet loot-run loadout.

After a Bite, Check for Infection

Bites can cause infection, with blurred screen edges as a symptom. If you notice these signs, avoid another bite, prioritize reaching an exit, and look for an antiviral item while leaving.

Stopping bleeding or recovering health does not mean the infection is treated. Do not rely on Pills as an infection cure. Use the infection response guide to choose your next steps and an exit you can use.
