HUSH Insurance: Return Rules and Savings Calculator
Last updated:
Insurance can help recover gear left behind in HUSH. Check the return conditions, compare Insurance Plus benefits, and use your premium and raid length to calculate the difference.

Insured items return only if nobody took them during the raid. Regular insurance takes 4 raid lengths; Insurance Plus takes 1.5, discounts premiums by 20%, and provides one daily free policy for an item worth up to 25,000 Cash. The free policy must still be available, and Plus does not remove the return condition.
Normal and Insurance Plus premiums and relative return durations for an eligible insured item.
Plus paid premium = normal premium × (1 − discount ÷ 100). The applicable Plus premium is zero when a daily free policy is available and the item value is within its limit. Return duration = applicable raid length × return-delay multiplier.
- The normal premium is entered before any Insurance Plus discount.
- The free-policy option applies to one eligible item and requires an unused daily free policy.
- Returns require that nobody took the insured item during the raid.
- Waiting outputs are durations, not collection timestamps.
- Use the applicable raid length; no offline-timer behavior is assumed.
- The calculation does not impose an in-game currency rounding rule.
When Insured Items Return
An item must be insured and remain untaken during the raid to return through insurance. If another player takes it, insurance will not return it—even with Insurance Plus. Premiums are paid with in-game Cash.
Regular insurance has a return delay of 4 raid lengths, while Insurance Plus reduces it to 1.5 raid lengths. These are waiting durations measured against the applicable raid length.
Why hasn't my insured item returned?
Check whether the item was insured, whether someone took it during the raid, and whether its applicable waiting period has elapsed. A shorter Plus delay helps only when the item qualifies for a return.
Secure-case contents work differently: they come home even if you die, rather than depending on a later insurance return. See what you keep after death for protected storage and capacity details.
Insurance Plus Benefits and Limits
Insurance Plus reduces every paid insurance premium by 20%, so you pay 80% of the normal premium. It also grants one free policy per day for an item worth 25,000 Cash or less.
The free-policy cap applies to the item's value, not its premium. Use the free policy when it is available and the item qualifies; otherwise, the discounted paid premium applies.
Plus adds no policy slots and raises no insurance limits. Its benefits are lower costs and shorter waits, with the same recovery condition explained above.
Insurance Plus is a permanent, one-time purchase. For its Robux price and alternatives that address storage or trading needs, see the HUSH game pass comparison.
Calculate Premiums and Waiting Durations
Use the calculator to compare one item's insurance cost and relative return duration.
- Enter the normal premium in Cash, before the Insurance Plus discount. Use the premium itself, not the item's purchase price.
- Enter the applicable raid length in minutes.
- Enter the item value for policy eligibility.
- Set Unused daily free policy to Available only when you can use that policy on this item.
Plus paid premium shows the discounted cost before any free policy. Applicable Plus premium shows what applies after checking free-policy availability and the value cap. Premium saved compares that applicable cost with the normal premium.
The waiting results show the regular duration, the Plus duration, and the difference in minutes. Use them to compare how long recovery takes; they do not give a clock time for collection.
To include insurance in a full run's budget, enter the actual Cash premium you paid in the raid profit calculator.
Decide Whether the Benefits Fit Your Play
- You insure gear frequently: Plus offers recurring Cash savings, especially when your normal premiums are high. Compare the premiums you actually pay rather than judging by equipment value alone.
- You can regularly use the daily free policy: That benefit is more useful when you have an eligible item to insure each day. If several items qualify, using it on the one with the highest normal premium saves the most Cash for that policy.
- You want eligible gear back sooner: The shorter return duration matters when you would otherwise wait to reuse that equipment. Keep a spare loadout if you want to continue playing while a return is pending.
- You rarely insure anything: The discount and free policy will see little use. Compare other passes against the systems you use most before spending Robux.
There is no single break-even period for everyone: your Cash savings depend on premiums and policy use, while the pass purchase uses Robux. Use the calculator's results alongside how often you insure gear and how much you value shorter waits.
